The site appears to have been hi-jacked during the last few weeks, no notice was received and now it apparently belongs to someone else. Hey ho, and good luck to them. The new site will be tunstillsdislexicon so we’ll continue without recourse to the opportunists, hi-jackers or bandits who have obviously thought that they can abstract some cash from me for the liberation, repurchase or ransom of my original site name.
And, what’s in a name, ‘a rose by any other name still smells as sweet’, Dislexicon is dead, long live tunstillsdislexicon.
You probably know that this site, by whichever name, is concerned with the confusions and difficulties of the English language which are sometimes called homonyms, homophones and homographs, words that look, sound or are written but which have different meanings. Which witch? They’re there in their car.

Right away, means, at once. I told you to do it right away, not half an hour later! But it can also mean, at a distance. Take that animal right away from me. And, to add confusion, write away can be to order by mail. The shirts in the catalogue look good, I think I’ll write away for some.
One of the Italian girls in the office here, translating some titles for some of the exhibits in the soldier museum, www.soldierssoldiers.com, just incorrectly translated the title of the 42nd Highland Regiment, the Black Watch, as l’orologio nero, the black clock. Think about it.
