CHINESE WHISPERS
CHINESE WHISPERS - A Victorian parlour game in which a whispered message,
when passed between several people could have been misheard when arriving at its
final listener. A famous example from the First World War is "Send
reinforcements, we're going to advance", which became "Lend three and
fourpence, we're going to a dance".
Chinese Whispers itself could be misheard and become Chinese Whiskers, which
may not be cat food for oriential moggies, but could refer to eastern pudenda.
